2. How are your notes saved?

Your notes are saved directly in your browser, not on our servers. This means:

3. Privacy advantages

4. Offline mode

Online Notepad is saved in your browser when you first visit it. If you later open the website without an internet connection, your browser may show you a saved version of the page (if you allow it). In that mode, you will still be able to write and view your notes.

IMPORTANT: The first visit requires an internet connection to load the application. Once loaded, you can use it offline again, but you will always depend on your browser's cache. The best experience is with an internet connection.

5. How to delete your notes from the browser

If you want to permanently delete your notes, you can do so in several ways:

From the application itself

Use the "Delete page" button to erase the text from a page. If you want to delete all pages, you can delete them one by one or use your browser's tools.

From your browser settings

If you clear your browser's browsing data, your notes will also be deleted. Be careful, as this action will also delete other data from other websites.

On Chrome / Edge / Brave:

  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + Delete (Mac).
  2. Select "Cookies and other site data".
  3. Also check "Hosted app data".
  4. Click on "Delete data".

On Firefox:

  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete.
  2. Select "Local Storage".
  3. Click on "Clear now".

On Safari (Mac):
